Overview
This candidate (DB Engineer) will develop, maintain and support EA worldwide databases. It requires in-depth database knowledge with significant expertise in database administration and Oracle application system administration.
Key Responsibilities
Manages and maintains appropriate development and test environments to support production and development projects
Participates in design / development estimating and scheduling
Defines standards, procedures, and guidelines for Level 1 and 2 (basic / intermediate) support
Provides Level 3 (advanced) technical expertise; Oversight and accountability for resolution of outages, service level issues, and user/customer support needs in coordination with other support groups and teams
Closely partners with customers to assess feasibility, complexity, and scope of new capabilities and solutions
Ensures that all capabilities delivered align with original business objectives, service levels, IT strategies, and design intent
Ensures technical documentation is kept up to date (run books, process diagrams, system information, technical documents)
Participates in the CM (Change Management) process and the deployment of solutions to the production environment
Maintains overall responsibility for quality of production deployments
Defines proactive activities and tasks required for optimization of stability, performance and architecture
Perform special projects and departmental initiatives as needed
-Must have skills: Installation, configuration, upgrading of Oracle/MySQL/SQL Server database and related products such as ASM, RAC, RMAN and OEM; should be able to do design and perform basic architecture work related to setup, capacity planning adhering to EA and Industry standards.

-Excellent troubleshooting and performance tuning skills, ability to design scripts using shell, PL/SQL and implementation of security schemes in relation to SOX compliance is required.
-Ideal candidate will have good exposure to Linux, HP UNIX and Windows. Good understanding of various recovery scenarios, refresh techniques and familiarity with solutions like Logical Standby & streams is essential along with excellent communication skills.
Ability to work with a highly skilled team of global professionals from Application Development, UNIX, Storage teams and capability to manage 24/7 support is a must.
Oracle E-Business Suite Skills
-Working with Oracle Financial modules and E-Business Suite R11.5.9+
-Oracle E-Business Suite System Administration
-Oracle E-Business Suite concurrent program, manager administration and printing setup
-Performing Oracle E-Business Suite Patch administration, review, testing, deployment
-Performing Oracle E-Business Suite maintenance with minimal downtime
-Developing and implementing security schemes for Oracle E-Business Suite
-Measuring Oracle E-Business Suite performance and availability
Optional Technical Requirements:
-Installation and configuration of MySQL and MS SQLServer databases
-Migration from Oracle to MySQL/SQL Server
-Backup, monitoring, performance tuning of MySQL and MS SQLServer databases
-Developing and implementing security schemes for MySQL and MS SQLServer databases
-Working knowledge of Enterprise Application Integration tools is a plus

-5 years of experience working in a complex development environment.
-An advanced degree in software engineering is also desirable.
-Must be able to work within Global IT and business team
