- Plans the structure and design, installs and maintains databases for the organization or business
- Assists the development team in using specific RDBMS mechanisms
- Provides database integration within the configuration management system
- Execute database queries to make different reports and statistics
- Assures the availability of internal database systems
- Monitors database systems and makes recommendations concerning the performance and the efficient use of resources
- Installs, configures and applies corrections to relational database systems(SQL Server, MySQL)
- Writing database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary
- Developing, managing and testing backup and recovery plans;
- Ensuring that storage, archiving, backup and recovery procedures are functioning correctly
- University Degree in Computer Science / Mathematics or a closely related field (degree is compulsory - Master Degree a plus)
- Minimum 2 years experience in the administration and modeling of DB
- Strong technical skills to ensure job description requirements
- Experience in working with large Databases;
- Excellent diagnosing and administration knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and 2005;
- Communicating regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security;
