Data Hosting Center Department

SCOPE: Design, manage, operate, develop and provide support for entire IT Infrastructure related to Hosting Data Center; improve, provide consultancy and support for operations, management and maintain IT services (integration, system administration, network) provided to external customers and HDC infrastructure solutions. These must be done ensuring the quality and continuity of the services as per the company’s KPIs, within the budgeted costs.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure implementation, integration, operation and functionality of entire Data Center Infrastructure that involve 24/7 availability: Data Center Network, IT Systems (Platforms, Servers, Storage), Integrated Solutions, Complex Cloud Platforms, Management and Service Monitoring;
• Ensure high performance and availability for infrastructure solutions (Data center facility and ICT equipment) – from design of new solutions/services, administering servers and network, planning and ensure configurations, proactive monitoring and high security;
• Manages physical Data Center facilities. Assists with site planning including growth capacity, including future project road map; Read, comprehend and work from complex technical information pertaining to electrical and mechanical systems that serve the data centers;
• Participate in design, deploy and maintain a complex and geo-distributed virtualiz infrastructure based on top-of-the-art technologies (VCE Vblock converged systems, Cisco UCS blades, Nexus Unified Fabrics, VMware vCloud for SP, EMC VNX series)
• Design and implement new services and facilities specific for Data center
• On-call support for HDC infrastructures and customer infrastructures/services in a 24/7 environment
• Monitoring the Hosting Data Center Services and parameters, alerting and incidents, capacity and resource utilization, statistics. Providing reports for services.
• Perform performance analysis, proactive troubleshooting, continual improvement and capacity planning of production virtualiz environments
• Follow up and analyze the QOS indicators related to IT Infrastructure domains targeting quality improvements and service availability
• Evaluate the requests for improvements and develop, identify the risks and opportunities, recommend solutions according with customer’s needs and requests
• Responsible for insuring the accurate provisioning of services and capacities within the facility plant to accommodate immediate needs and also forecast needs based upon historical growth data and Sales activity. Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and formal change control processes to implement changes.
• Perform performance analysis, proactive troubleshooting and capacity planning of data center infrastructures (DC LAN/SAN/WAN, virtual infrastructures etc)
• Supervise service engineers during maintenance (HW/SW) according with suppliers contracts and manufacturer specifications


CERINTE

Education and qualifications:
• Technical university degree (Faculty of Automatic Control and Computer Science or Electronics and Telecom);
• Professional Certificates :Data Center Design, Network Operation and Service Provider, Storage Services Systems, Cloud.
• +5 years experience in IT/Data Center /Cloud;

Mandatory professional know-how:

• Expert understanding of Data Center Architecture and Operations in a highly virtualize environment leveraging a mixed environment of blades, rack-mounts, and disparate storage infrastructures
• Expert knowledge about Data Center networking - Cisco Catalyst 6800/6500 VSS, 3850, 3750 Series, Cisco Nexus 1000V/2000/5000/7000/9000 series, Cisco ASR1013 & CSR1000V, Cisco ASA Firewall appliances, Cisco virtual infrastructure/appliances (Nexus1K, CSR1K, ASAv, vWLC etc), Cisco Wi-Fi with WLC etc
• Expert knowledge about Data Center servers - Cisco UCS C series and B series blade servers, HP/Lenovo/Dell rack mount and blade infrastructures etc
• Expert knowledge about Data Center storage - EMC VNX/VNXe storage with block (FC/FCoE) and file(CIFS/NFS), EMC Isilon scale-out storages, HP 3PAR storage, replication etc
• Expert knowledge on Microsoft Windows Server and MS-SQL system administration and services
• Expert knowledge on Linux system administration (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian) and services (Apache/Tomcat, PHP, MySQL, SFTP, SSH, cPanel etc)
• Expert knowledge for specific network – Service provider and Data center - and security services –VLAN/PVLAN/VXLAN, L2&L3 security, IPSec/GRE, OSPF/RIP/EIGRP, BGP/MP-BGP, MPLS, ACL/VACL/SPAN/SNMP, FC/FCoE/iSCSI over unified fabrics, Netflow, TACACS/RADIUS; other network services (DNS, NTP etc)
• Professional experience with SAN storage and backup solutions (EMC DataDomain, Avamar, Veeam etc)
• Professional experience for enterprise architecture and services (AD, Mail, Webhosting, Security,
• Strong knowledge of networking and services monitoring systems (SNMP - Cacti, Nagios, Cisco management platforms etc)
• Strong knowledge of service provider cloud and virtualization technologies (VMWare vSphere ESX/ESXi, VMware with vCenter, vCloud, Microsoft Hyper-V, KVM/OpenStack)
• Basic programming knowledge, Scripting languages (PowerShell, bash, perl), Data base technologies (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL)
