Developer Technologies team is responsible with developing and delivering tools allowing customers to easily develop, debug and deploy their custom solutions on our client's devices, as well as configuration and optimization of the applications on the embedded target. Some of the tools we develop are the award-winning CodeWarriorIDE and Processor Expert Suite.
If you enjoy interacting on a day-to-day basis with worldwide customers to resolve technical support issues and provide expert advices, join us and you will to be a key member of our engineering team. You will have the opportunity to manage the customer experience with embedded development tools for the latest Freescale processors by understanding customer needs and his interactions with the tools and developing customized solutions to meet the specific customer needs and enhancements. The customer software application engineer will collaborate with our customers during the entire process, from the idea through its design and development to solution delivery, being able to support the entire processes involved.
As a successful candidate for this role you will have work experience with embedded applications development and with communications protocols, excellent communication skills, and a high degree of understanding and troubleshooting a software system.
We want you to:
• Manage the customer experience with embedded development tools for the latest Freescale processors by understanding customer needs and his interactions with the tools
• Isolate software issues, develop test cases for validation and also capture features based on our customers input and needs
• Work directly with customers to produce specifications, estimate level of effort, evaluate new options of similar technology
• Develop and execute design for customized software enhancement and train future users
• Maintain accurate and informative details of customer interactions using tracking database software and troubleshoot software contained within various embedded system configurations
• Work concurrently with remote and local development teams to resolve issues and participate in formal document reviews for external and internal use
• Develop proactive technical content such as FAQ’s, whitepapers, sample applications and internal training modules for cross training purposes
• Provide feedback to management and product teams based on customer input.
We need you to have:
• BS/MS Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Proven experience with C/C++ applications development
• Knowledge of embedded hardware architectures and concepts
• Ability to quickly learn and grasp new technologies
• Knowledge or experience with the Linux kernel, device drivers, multi-process/multithreaded applications.
• Good level of English read/write/speak
