RESPONSABILITATI

We are looking for a Contract Manager to join a leading company, which covers the total life cycle of care for a facility, including design, build and installation of mechanical and electrical systems and also the ongoing maintenance of these services and the provision of integrated facilities management.

Responsibilities:
• At project launch, identify the strengths and weaknesses of the Customer contract (liase with in house legal advisers)
• Prepare and monitor Invoicing and Payment process from Customer. Insure all contractual documentation for invoicing process is provided according to contractual requirements and works in the field physical progress.
• Provide at any time an up to date status of invoicing and payment situation according to contract and works progress.
• Presentation of the contractual features of the Customer contract at all times in a pragmatic and practical form for the understanding of the project manager and his team.
• Provide practical contractual assistance (i.e. analysis and potential solutions) to the project team to solve day to day problems so that the project progresses efficiently.
• Develop a distinct “contract” filing system on all contractual areas which appear to cause concern and/or problems and maintain this filing system. Prepare and ensure that appropriate contract documentation (letters, minutes of meetings, submittals) is sent
• Assist the Project Manager in the contractual management of relations with the company’s partners.
• Attend all relevant meetings in order to protect the contractual position.
• Provide a reliable and easily understandable contractual vision of the situation of the project at any given time vis-a-vis our commitments in terms of:
- programming activities to meet contractual dates
- contractual status of payments from our company’s Customer
- status of variation/change orders with Customer
- status of potential or actual claims/counterclaims with Customer for e.g. delays/extension of time, breaches, etc.,
- provide similar status as described above vis à vis procurement/subcontracting activities
- insurance matters
- intellectual property
Objectives
• Based on the contractual analysis of the Customer contract, develop a practical commercial approach with the Project Manager to protect the company’s interests with regards the Customer, also the company’s partners and suppliers/subcontractors on the project.
• Monitor the respect of the contractual obligations either within the project team or in relations with the company’s Customers, suppliers/subcontractors and partners and provide practical contractual solutions to the project team so that the project can efficiently progress.
• Ensure that the organisation of the project documentation permits easy and rapid access to respond to any enquiry on whether the company is fulfilling its contractual obligations
• Anticipate claims and counterclaims
• Provide up to date contractual status on all aspects of the project


CERINTE

The candidate must have the skills to find solutions to a wide range of issues which are sensitive to the pressures of schedule, budget and quality products. In addition good communication skills are mandatory.

Requirements:
•Degree or professional qualification in quantity surveying/cost control or professionally qualified engineer with in both instances suitable post qualification education in contract law and management – especially FIDIC contracts
3- 5 years experience in contract management for large projects
Very good knowledge of English; French is a plus
Driving Licence: cat.B
PC skills: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Acad, MS Project or Primavera
Availability to travel in Romania and abroad
