General:
- The configuration manager provides the overall Configuration Management (CM) infrastructure and environment for the program team. He/she supports the product development activities and ensures that all documents and products are uniquely identifiable, that interrelations between different versions or variants of a configuration remain evident and that product or document changes will only be executed and documented in a controlled manner.
- The jobholder reports to the head of Configuration Management.
Responsabilities:
Configuration Management Planning
- Establishing rules and regulations for the configuration and product administration (standardized identification methodology, templates, resources) on international and/or national level. Defining and managing the Configuration Management Plan (CMP).
- Establishing the CM system.
- Preparing the work package description.
- Identifying CM stakeholders and definition of impacts on stakeholders.
- Identifying contractual CM requirements and project details.
- Establishing the Project Configuration Management Plan.
- Nominating the CM administrator.
- Introducing and implementing a tool that supports CM policies and procedures (checklists, sign-off sheets, changes, deviations, failure reports, documents, materials, products (applications), SW, releases).
- Supervising the project team members in implementing and maintaining CM activities
- Contributing to the definition of the project specific CM-Management.
- Creating Project Requirements for Subcontractors CM-System.
- Approving Subcontractor CMP.
- Planning and administrating the access authorisations.
- Nominating and integrating the CM administrator for the integration/manufacture.
- Identifying and controlling numbering and labelling of CIs according to the PSP.
Configuration Control
- Coordinating CM tasks and activities on international level.
- Managing problems and Conflicts within the project realisation from a CM point of view
- Cooperating with the Subsystem mangers and the Program Quality Manager
- Planning, controlling and inspecting the CM measures
- Reporting to the project responsibles.
Requirements:
Technical
- 5 years + experience in Configuration Management in an industrial environment
.- CMII certified or similar
- SAP PLM knowledge essential.
Education
- University Graduated in Mechanical, Electrical or IT
Others
- Fluent in English;
