- Cohort data management and analyses
- Serves as the statistical programming lead on internal project teams and coordinates programming, validation, and documentation of statistical programs focused on heterogeneous data integration, bioinformatics pre-processing and data reduction, missing data imputation and predictive modeling as well as creating analysis datasets, tables, listings, graphs and figures.
- Works with internal project team to identify project priorities and communicate such activities and associated timelines directly to the Chief Technology Officer
- Ensures the efficiency, quality, and integrity of data reporting and software through extensive testing
- Represents the company in client meetings/presentation and maintains a positive working relationship with company partners, vendors and clients
- Contributes significantly to ongoing improvement of programming processes and methodology.
- Masters in Biostatistics, Statistics, and/ or Computer Sciences preferred;
- Engineering degree with significant programming and predictive modeling experience also considered
- Experience with Health Economics
- Significant experience with clinical and health outcomes research;
- Experience in healthcare informatics a plus
- Must have significant statistical programming experience; R or S+ and SAS proficiency preferred
- Must be proficient in C/ C++, Java and SQL; must be able to translate statistician code (R, S+, SAS) to C/ C++ PHP, J2ME and direct postgreSQL or mySQL experience not a requirement, but desirable XML or PMML experience is a strong plus
- Must be proficient with basic tools (i.e., databases, spreadsheets) which sometimes house initial datasets
- Strong presentation skills preferred for presentation of results / analysis (HTML, Word, PowerPoint)
- Must be capable of working closely and building strong relationships with internal staff and external medical researchers and scientists
- Understanding of provider relations issues relating to patient privacy and clinical examination processes a plus
- HIPAA training preferred
- Potential for some travel (North Carolina, New York, California and Europe primarily)
