Description:
Work with the customer's team to develop software modules; write, modify, and debug software, use source debuggers and visual development environments.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Full lifecycle application development
- Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents
- Perform designing and coding to written technical specifications
- Investigate, analyse, debug and document reported defects
- Perform maintenance programming and correction of identified defects
- Create, document, and implement unit tests
- Create and maintain technical documentation using defined technical documentation templates
- Software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis
- Perform related duties as assigned:
- operations / solving High/Medium/Low tickets within a specified time
- on-call support / solving High priority tickets outside normal working hours
- regular maintenance and development
- Demonstrable previous software development experience of minimum 3 years
- Experience in ASP, ASP.NET, (X)HTML, CSS, JavaScript (DHTML, AJAX), XML, XSD
- Knowledge of SVN and related tools
- Fair knowledge and experience with Visual InterDev and Visual Studio 2003 (90% - 10%)
- Fair knowledge and experience with ASP Classic and IIS 5.0/IIS 6.0
- Fair knowledge and experience with VBScript and JavaScript (70% - 30%)
- Fair knowledge and experience with Oracle PL/SQL
- Fair knowledge and experience with SQL Plus and SQL Developer
- Fair knowledge and experience with Oracle basic administration (database backup, data import/export)
- VB6, ASP.NET, Crystal Reports (basic knowledge and little experience, but willing to do related tasks)
- Capable of understanding JAVA/Other technologies and ASP interaction within a distributed environment
- Some knowledge of design patterns
- Ability to interpret written requirements and technical specification documents
- Ability to code software according to published standards and design guidelines
