The Candidate
The successful candidate will join a dedicated Production Operations Team with responsibility for managing and maintaining all the company environments, including our test, production and internal systems. Working closely with the Operations and Development Teams you will support the management and deployment of all the company applications, monitoring and troubleshooting any issues that arise across all our applications and systems. Communication, flexibility and a desire to learn are essential as well as the ability to work on multiple concurrent priorities while maintaining a high attention to detail.
The Role
• 1st line support on the company production systems
• Monitoring on all the company systems
• Maintaining and updating the company monitoring systems
• Incident management, resolution and escalation of issues on all the company environments
• Troubleshooting issues on all the company applications
• Managing the deployment process to ensure successful deployment of new systems, software and upgrades
• Maintain the documentation set on all the company applications and systems
Key Attributes
• Fluent in English
• At least 2 years’ experience in an Application Support role
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience
• Strong scripting skills (Powershell, VB, Windows command line)
• Experience supporting applications in C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server
• Experience of supporting Database, Web and Mobile applications
• SQL Query skills (MS SQL Server and MySQL)
• Working knowledge of Windows Server (2003, 2008, 2008 R2)
• Experience of MS SQL Server reporting services
• Basic network troubleshooting
• Knowledge of automated deployment tools
• Knowledge of Linux would be an advantage
• Experience working in a 24*7 production environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Able to work in a rapidly expanding company and should feel comfortable working on own initiative as well as in a team.
