Adecco Permanent Placemenet is looking for an Application & Software Service Engineer, for its Client, a leader in providing next generation telecommunications networks for operators around the world.

Responsibilities:
1) Engineering support
-Engage in project engineering process for new projects, including Site Survey and network planning, installation of software based on Linux system, Commission of the Applications and Acceptance Test with Customers;
-Interface with headquarters and team members to locate technical problems that may arise during the engineering process.
2) Maintenance support
-Remote support for customers’ existing systems (billing/ charging systems and value added systems on Linux/ UNIX servers) in case of technical issues that might be raised by the customers;
-Find out reasons of issues with the help of headquarters or team members and provide customer reports by email;
-Doing health check for customers’ systems according to maintenance contract;
-Perform intervenes such as software upgrading, software patching for customers’ systems for issues or requirements.
Role Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a Telecommunication/ Computer Science/ Engineering/ Software or relevant skills or equivalent professional experience;
- Familiar with one of the operating systems (Linux, UNIX);
- Familiar with database (Oracle, Informix) and professional with SQL command;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English;
- at least one year of experience working in telecom industry using UNIX/ Linux/ or Oracle/ Informix.
Preferred qualifications (optional):
- Experience of Telecom solution including Convergence billing system, CRM, PRM, Mediation, BOSS or OCS (online Charging system);
- Capability of shell scripts or database procedure;
- Good knowledge of TCP/ IP protocol;
- SQL/ Oracle / Linux/ UNIX certifications.
