Our client is a foreign company that is specialized in building technologies.
In order to strengthen its position on the Romanian market, our customer is currently looking for a high professional in the position of ACCOUNTANT.
PURPOSE:
The purpose of the Accountant is to record and to consolidate in an effective and efficient manner all financial transactions of the company in order to provide accurate information to the Financial Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Records all financial transactions related (banks, salaries, petty cash, etc.) according to Romanian accounting standards and the company’s recording procedures.
• Records invoices issued by local stations.
• Verifies payments of salaries for the company.
• Verifies and consolidates all accounting data received from local stations.
• Updates and maintains all the statutory accounting documents related to the area of responsibility.
• Identifies and resolves any exceptions to the process or problems that occur.
• Prepares weekly and monthly reports on different financial status according to established criteria.
• Prepares weekly reports on the sector’s activities and progress towards achieving objectives.
• Answers requests related to salary issues while maintaining confidentiality of data.
• Promptly provides reports to internal or external auditors regarding the area of activity.
• Ensures archiving according to established procedures.
• Suggests improvements to work flows and work process in order to maximize the sector’s efficiency and effectiveness.
• Prepares and updates operating procedures for the position’s area of responsibility.
• Introduces all necessary data related to the position’s area of responsibility into the system in an accurate way.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education
• University degree in accounting
Experience
• 1 year experience in an accounting position
Skills
• Good knowledge of Romanian accounting system ans IFRS
• Good oral and written communication skills in English and Romanian, German knowledge is a plus
• Good knowledge of PC utilization including word processor, spreadsheets and databases utilization knowledge – SAP previous experience is a plus
• Good problem solving skills
• Good planning and organizing skills
