RESPONSABILITATI

For one of our clients, a privately-held leading supplier of thermoplastic resins, compounds and custom formulations, with sales and manufacturing locations in USA, Mexico and Slovakia, we are searching for an Account Development Manager for Europe.

Our client is a:
- Custom Compounder of Proprietary Filled Polyolefins(Minerals: Talc, Calcium, Mica, Mag Hydroxide; Thermoplastic PolyOlefins (TPOs); Glass-Reinforced Compounds; Specialty Polyethylene Compounds);
- Producer of Color Concentrates;
- Polypropylene & Polyethylene Distributor & Reseller;
- Toll Compounder.

The Account Development Manager position is responsible for developing business and managing sales in Europe, requiring excellent skills in customer relationships, business development, project management, teamwork, organization, and communication.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing all business development and sales functions associated with selling polyolefin compounded materials to customers in Europe.
• Manages current and potential customer relationships and activities through consistent and thorough personal interaction and follow up at all appropriate levels of customer organizations (purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, quality, management, etc.).
• Pursues new business opportunities and earns requests for quotation (RFQs) through diligent customer and market development efforts:
o Determines material requirements and specifications for targeted applications;
o Coordinates with the company's market and product development engineers (MDEs, PDEs) to develop material solutions to meet customer needs;
o Provides data sheets and other material physical property information as necessary;
o Interprets and provides test data for materials developed for customers, with feedback to product development regarding direction of future work;
o Coordinates and attends customer molding trials as necessary;
o Presents a formalized data package of developed material(s) for customer approval(s).
• Develops and manages sales strategies and tactics for identified target opportunities:
o Develops a comprehensive understanding of competitive situations;
o Works with the Product Management to develop and implement appropriate product pricing strategies for all current and potential new business;
o Negotiates pricing, terms, and conditions of sale with customers;
o Secures purchase orders and coordinates as appropriate with customer service, materials management, and logistics to ensure accurate and timely delivery of product.
• Effectively promotes the company's products and organizational capabilities.
• Submits call reports and monthly activity summaries concerning all customer-related activities.
• Provides timely response to customer inquiries and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Performs other duties and assignments as directed by manager.
• Performs all duties safely and in compliance with documentation outlined in the Safety, Health & Environmental and defined quality management systems.


Working Conditions:
• Environment – the commercial office and home office as appropriate to schedule;
• Travel – Frequent travel across Europe; periodic travel to US.


CERINTE

Recommended Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or equivalent, and/or 5-7 years experience in plastic materials.
• Must speak English well, and preferably speaks multiple EU languages.
• Must travel to customer and vendor sites across Europe; periodic travel to the US.
• Demonstrated ability to develop new business in highly competitive markets.
• Ability to build and maintain strong, long term customer relationships.
• Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, self-starter, sense of urgency, personable, extroverted personality, well organized.
• Skilled in the use of basic computer software, including word-processing and spreadsheets.
• Self sufficient in terms of time management and support.
