Ability to define the system architecture across a number of technologies (e.g. based on Java, C/C++, databases) and platforms (e.g. Linux, Unix)
Excellent understanding of architectural dependencies and of technologies used by the customer
Ability to integrate various subsystems into one cohesive solution and build up the needed infrastructure
Excellent knowledge of software methodologies (e.g. RUP, SCRUM)
Excellent knowledge of the whole software development lifecycle
