One of these examples is the partnership we have been developing with a French company – an European leader in various online tourism services (trips, cruise, hotels, airplane tickets, etc.). The sites developed and maintained by our Pentalog dedicated IT specialists, add-up over 70 millions visualizations and 5 millions unique visitors each month.
This dedicated team you will join, has currently 17 members: a Project Manager, 2 Java Architects, 10 Java/J2EE Developers, a Business Intelligence Specialist, 2 Testers and a Webmaster.
In this context, Pentalog is looking for a responsible and passionate person with positive problem-solving attitude for the position of IT System Administrator.
What you need to join us:
- Previous relevant system administration experience – minimum 1 year;
- English is mandatory, French is a plus;
- Very good communication skills, problem solving attitude, flexibility, team work spirit;
- A degree in computer science or equivalent qualification are a plus
- Production support experience in a mission-critical environment is highly desirable : expertise in Installation, Configuration, Tuning, and Deploying applications
- Knowledge of Java application deployment process best practices is a plus
- Knowledge of Apache Web Server and Tomcat Application Server is a plus
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting Java based applications in a Solaris/Linux environment
Good skills and knowledge in the followings – mandatory:
- Operating systems: Linux;
- Application servers: Tomcat, Apache;
- Databases: MySQL;
In this role, you will have the following tasks:
- Deploy batch applications binaries in client's integration environment;
- Deploy SOA applications binaries in client's integration environment;
- Support and troubleshoot SOA applications in a Linux environment
- Manage the test and integration platforms
- Identify and mitigate risks in process and technology
- Update the knowledge base

Grupul Pentalog a realizat in 2007 o crestere interna de 67% si o cifra de afaceri de 5,5M?. La inceputul anului 2008, echipa Pentalog numara deja 200 de persoane.
Datorita acestor indicatori pozitivi, preconizam pentru 2008 crearea a numeroase noi posturi in toate agentiile noastre din Romania si Republica Moldova, o crestere de 40% din efectivul actual.
