Project Description
Sim-e-Child is an evolving platform. The aim of the project is to simulate cardiac behaviours. There is a wide collaboration of international research centers involved in this project( SCR US, TURM DE, Maat Fr, etc)
The Sim-e-Child project proposes to develop a grid-enabled platform for large scale simulations in pediatric cardiology, providing a collaborative environment for constructing and validating multi-scale and personalized models of a growing heart and vessels. The objective of the Sim-e-Child is to strengthen the impact of the Health-e-Child project by creating an international simulation and validation environment for pediatric cardiology, supported by integrated data repositories. The project will advance the state-of-the-art by providing comprehensive and patient specific models for the dynamic and longitudinal interactions occurring in the left heart, with a focus on the congenital aortic arch disease and repair
The code is written in C++ technology. It interacts with several other 3rd party entities based on both C++ and/or JAVA.
Responsibilities
The developers will:
-Participate in design sessions together with the already established Siemens Corporate Research team
-Implement and test new functionalities of the system using the C++ programming language
-Ensure support and bug fixing for the created functionalities

Technical skills required:
-A good knowledge and practical experience with Object Oriented Programming,
-A minimum of 3 years experience with C++ programming( library and technologies used: STL, gSOAP, cURL, xerces templates, smart pointers )
-Good experience with XML document
-Web Services are knowledge is a plus
-Basic experience with Java is a plus
-Very good communication skills using the English language
