Our client - Global Blue - is a market-leading supplier of financial services for the merchant and
hospitality market in their interactions with foreign customers. The company is presently
represented in 40 countries, with over 200 international Cash Refund offices on four continents,
supporting clients in Europe, Asia and the Americas.
To maintain the highest level of product quality, we are now looking for a new colleague to join
the System Development and Integration department of the centralized Group IT located in
Vienna, Austria.
Lead Software Architect (m/f)
Technology & Solution Owner
Working as part of the Technology Management team your main responsibility is to
technologically own, enhance and improve Global Blue's main SOA based solutions as Technology
Leader and Solution Owner. You act an interface to and single point of contact with Business
Analysis, Service Management, Project Management, Vendors, QA & Integration and Solution
Integration and lead a team of three developers.
Your Tasks:
• Solution Owner: Provision of installation and configuration manual to QA, technology
release notes, release provisioning to QA, management of code reviews, technical design of software components (UMS), provision of technical design documentation
• Project member & team leader: assign development tasks to developers, lead the
developers in designing the solutions, support integration projects with technological
information, provide software development effort estimation to project, provide feedback
on project time lines, manage development capacity within projects, preliminary software
development estimation before project
• Vendor Management of Software Development
• Interface to Service Management including participation in release management
• Development Capacity Management
Your Profile:
• At least 5 years of experience in Software Development area
• Hands-on experience with one of the major development language e.g.: Java, C#, C++)
• Familiarity with Service Orientated Architecture and Enterprise Service Bus ( Message Bus)
• Hands-on experience with Web Services (including WSE, WSDL, UDDI)
• Understanding of Message Queues (e.g. MSMQ, IBM MQ )
• Experience with EAI, B2B, B2C, ETL tools (e.g. BizTalk)
• Release management knowledge (Version Control, Build Server)
• Experience working in an Agile or RUP development environment
• Strong organization, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
• Good command of English and German
