• Implementation of overall European Supply Chain strategy and objectives in line with Elcoteq’s standards
• Responsible for Arad BU’s supply chain including purchasing, customs and forwarding (inbound and outbound logistics), warehousing, manage obsolete materials and supplier relationship management in co-operation with relevant Global Sourcing parties (GCM)
• Ensures material availability through the team of buyers
• Run NPI, PTT and Continuous Improvement projects in materials and logistics field
• Lead tendering, negotiating and contracting process out of BOM, non serial material purchasing
• Defines alternative suppliers collaborating with Global Sourcing team, work on commodity localization (actively propose local suppliers for global commodities and localizing suppliers for non Global Commodities)
• Lead, develop and manage the process of training and developing staff in order to ensure the availability of highly skilled staff equipped for current and future challenges.
• Contribute to cross GA and cross factory co-operation in material availability
• Supplier Relationship Management in co-operation with Global Sourcing
• University degree
• A Masters degree in economics preferably major in SCM/logistics or in the field of Engineering, additional MBA or similar, is considered a strong advantage.
• A strong track record of 8-10 years experience in area of SCM and logistics - in consumer electronics or mobile communication industry – is an advantage
• Minimum of 5 years team management experience
• Business and financial understanding
• Very good Language skills in English
• Very good PC usage; experience with ERP systems, preferably BaaN
• Excellent skills in development of business processes and systems
