As a Logistics Manager, you will direct all of the functions related to the receipt and processing of merchandise entering and leaving the warehouse, contact with suppliers and external couriers and development of logistic team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct all merchandise flow and allocation of resources (external pick-ups, unload trailers, sorting, staging, categorizing merchandise for delivery to customers)
- Recruit, train, coordinate and motivate support team to achieve operational goals and standards
- Provide ongoing support to department managers, estimating sales orders, monitoring of warehouse stock and submitting purchase orders to suppliers
- Monitor regulatory and legislative changes
- Develop and implement policies and process flows and procedures that define maximum efficiencies of the Logistics Department (health, safety and security certificates/policies).
-; Coordinate daily transportation and deliveries to customers.
Job Qualifications:
- A sound knowledge of retail distribution to include both transport & warehousing;
- Minimum 3 years inventory management,logistics and planning experience
- Working knowledge of import and export legislation is a most
- University degree required
- Good command of English language
- Good IT literacy skills.
