Healthcare Assistants are placed in residential homes, nursing homes and communities. It is required to help clients with daily personal care like washing, feeding their selves, lifting and moving residents, using the toilet or helping families dealing with new responsibilities.
The main duties of a Healthcare Assistant include:
• Building relationships with residents
• Identifying residents' specific needs
• Supporting clients in activities
• Helping with physical tasks, such as dressing, washing, bedtime routine
• Establishing work routines that help residents with their daily activities
• Providing emotional and social support
• Liaising with family and health care providers
• Working overnight, shifts or live-in
Requirements:
• Minimum 1 years' healthcare experience
• Good level of English - spoken and written
• A clean police check from the candidate's home country
Pay structure:
• £7.25 gross per hour - Starting wage
