Responsibilities:
• Working as Project Manufacturing Engineer in Project Teams
• Planning, ordering, ownership of production equipment
• Equipment specification, order, implementation in production cells, acceptance, release
• Ensuring equipment is robust and repeatable, in terms of quality products
• Layout planning
• Support an environment where continuous improvement is part of day to day activities
• Support and maintain the WPS philosophy
• Support multi-team Kaizen activities
• Ensure all lines are available to run by providing tools and techniques to relevant persons, e.g. Process Technicians
• Ensure all operations have the required documents ie: Standard Operating Procedures, Preventative Maintenance schedules, TPM schedules
• Support and deliver the team approach to be involved in problem solving, control plans and FMEA’s
• Balance line with customer takt and ensure that the takt is maintained with a clear focus on Product Quality/ Arrange and provide R@R Studies
• Support Project Ramp up and train TL and operators in terms of process and equipment
• Monitor SAP and ensure standard times, control plans, bill of materials and routings are correct
• Liaison with Engineering Change Control (Change Management). Rework implementation and documentation
• Standard operating procedures, control plans and FMEA’s
• Be aware of Manufacturing Engineering KPIs and the steps required to achieve and maintain KPI standards
• Focus expertise in specialist area: Assembly and/ or Rollo Blinds
