Infrastructure engineer needed to architect, integrate and configure an automation product to configure equipment in the customer network environment. The candidate must have experience in building and configuring critical infrastructure. In addition to strong scripting and admin skills, the candidate will be required to become an expert in the various aspects of network management. The candidate must be able to recognize the business requirements and configure the product to integrate into central monitoring services such as NetCool, ticketing systems such as Service-Now and various referential data sources (typically in Sybase or DB2). The candidate will work with clients of the system to build automations and establish best practices to ensure quality control and stability of the core network.
Skills Required:
1. Solid experience in Perl or Python
2. Experience with centralized configuration management systems.
3. Strong verbal and written skills required to interact with a global teams and customers
4. Ability to work with customers, gather requirements, and own the task of finding solutions
5. Strong presentation and documentation skills
6. Solid understanding of change management processes
Skills Desired:
1. Experience with routing, switching and PBX infrastructure
2. Experience with device configuration templates
