-Initiates disciplinary actions in case of violation of governmental and internal safety rules
-Initiate line/ process/ activity shut down in case of not complying with safety rules and regulations
-Request compliance by all employees to safety rules and regulations
-Interacts with national and local related authorities
-Examines plans and specification for new machinery or equipment to determine if all safety precaution have been included
-Perform a safety inspection and makes appropriate recommendation on the safety aspect for a new line/ process established
-Responsible for identifying health and safety hazards and recommending corrective actions
-Conduct the initial and periodic work safety training of all new employee
-Investigate accidents and incidents and ask for corrective actions;
-Maintain records of accidents, incidents and serious injuries or illness records
-Serves as internal consultant to business unit on ergonomics , hazardous materials, industrial hygiene and fire and chemical safety matters
-Interface with outside vendors, contractors and other parties regarding workplace health and safety
-Define medical test program for operators; provide documents for medical center; maintain records of medical test
-Compiles and submits safety reports
-Bachelor in Technical field
-Experience in a similar position or preferably in work & safety legislation.
- Knowledge of related regulations, codes and guidelines
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work in functional team and cross functional teams
- Well organized and able to plan own workload
- Good ability to take decisions and understand the impact to the business
- Computer literate, proficient in MS Office
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journal, technical procedures or governmental regulations and legal documents
