ROLE ¿ Windows Server Administrator is responsible for:
- Performance, scope, schedule, quality and appropriate business measurements for their project
- Identify and solve complex problems
- Perform analysis and problem-solving
- Recognize and take appropriate actions to pro-actively prevent technical problems
- Coordinate change control and problem management in his/her area of responsibility
- Drive the improvement of technical procedures and processes within area of technical specialty to enhance the implementation of IT solutions.
- Recommend technical alternatives involving technology, methodology, tools, processes, and solution components
- Provide technical advice to his/her colleagues
- Prepare and recommend technical alternatives involving technology, methodology, tools, processes, and solution components.
- Compare alternative approaches to a design, and implements technical solutions that meet or exceed the requirements
- Coordinates change control and problem management in his area of responsibility
Required skills and knowledge ¿ higher weighting more important
- 10 - College or university degree in Engineering
- 10 - 3+ years experience in a multinational company
- 10 - Excellent knowledge on Windows server administration
- 10 - Excellent knowledge on Windows network infrastructure service administration (DNS, DHCP, WINS)
- 10 - Excellent knowledge of hardware and software components that provide fault tolerance, load balancing
- 9 - Experience in unified directory services such as Active Directory and Windows NT domains
- 9 - Excellent knowledge of disaster recovery methods such as failover, backup and restore
- 9 - Microsoft professional certification (MCSE/MCSA)
- 9 - Good knowledge of scripting languages (Perl, VB Script, Kixtart, etc.)
- 8 - SQL DBA experience would be plus
