-Level one and two user and desktop support in a Windows XP environment
-Install, configure, upgrade and maintain desktop systems
-Deploy software updates and security patches to user systems
-Troubleshoot user issues
-Maintain file and print servers
-Assist with planning & integration
-Execute special projects as assigned
-Some years of work experience with desktop support
-Strong experience with Windows XP Professional
-Experience with tools like centralized antivirus application and patch management (Windows)
-Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
-Strong communication skills; able to work on site and over the phone with both technical and non-technical users
-Experience with basic networking services and network printing
-Ability to manage projects and tasks independently and to completion within the agreed timeframe
-Must be a team player and work to make IT easier for users
-Basic knowledge in automatic software deployment would be a plus
-Comfort in supporting multi-language systems would be a plus
-Must have strong English language abilities (spoken and written)
Skills that are a bonus:
-Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2003 in an Active Directory environment
-Experience setting up and administering Microsoft Exchange Server
-Knowledge of, or experience with Windows Vista
-Basic knowledge in telephone systems would be a plus
