VALUE STREAM
All the actions, both Value creating and Non-Value creating, required to bring a product from concept to launch and from order to delivery. These include actions to process information from the customer and actions to transform the product on its way to the customer.
VALUE STREAM MANAGER
The goal of the Value Stream Manager is to deliver the Customer expectations: achieving the requested number and mix of products in timely manner, Quality, Flexibility and Cost Competitiveness through the deployment of the client's Production System (Lean & Six Sigma).
Role: To direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in the manufacturing and support functions related for a specific customer, in order to attain production goals consistent with cost, quality and delivery requirements.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage manufacturing and functional team (engineering support, quality engineers, lean support, test & debug support and production controller team) in order to reach the customer expectations and manufacturing excellence targets by continuous developing of an improvement plan.
- Lead the technical efforts to build the architecture for a specific product.
- Manage the manufacturing costs related to labor efficiency, operating supplies, scrap and equipment utilization.
- Achieve and continually improve, targeted product and process Yield metrics, in according with customer Quality requirements
- Selects and develops direct employees to ensure an efficient production function.
- Collaborates with functional leaders during the selection process for indirect personnel.
- Confers with functional leaders to develop the technical capabilities of the functions inside the value stream.
- Conducts performance evaluations and recognition /disciplinary processes in accordance with Solectron HR policies and procedures.
- Drive and own the Lean/6 Sigma behavior and actions within the Value Stream.
- Create the Kaizen Game Plan for the Value Stream and ensure that Kaizen events are performed in order to reach the future state for the business that will improve the efficiency, quality, flexibility and cost controls
- 3+ years experience in production management, in a high volume/mix manufacturing environment
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- Strong leadership personality - clear vision, role model, standard-setter, coach, motivator
- Very good people and/or process management skills
- Strong listening, communication and influencing skills - verbal, written and formal
- Fluent verbal/written English and Romanian are a must
- Good customer relationship skills
- Advanced problem-solving skills
- Commercial acumen - ability to understand and act on business/financial reports and KPIs.
- Advanced skills of computer literacy - MS Office, ERP systems, manufacturing control systems etc.
- Good appreciation of Lean & 6 Sigma methodology
- Strong personality, team player, persuasive, able to work in a changing environment.
