Alcatel-Lucent world wide leader in WiMAX technology is hiring leading edge engineer to work within Alcatel-Lucent WIMAX Product Group. Through the “Open CPE Program” (select/find the top terminals manufacturers) Alcatel.Lucent launches a new WiMAX Interoperability (IOT) Center in TIMISOARA.
Missions:
The scope of work of this center is to qualify Customers Premises Equipments (Terminal)
The newcomer will participate to the validation of the WIMAX CPEs.
He or she will be involved into the following tasks:
• Definition of the Test Sheets according to the specification of the product with help of WIMAX specification specialist
• Running of tests in several areas such as functional, performance, robustness and non regression (from MAC to application layer), with end user approach.
• Tracking and documenting of Software/Hardware defects,
• Change Request Proposal,
• Interfacing with supplier development teams for Fault reports analysis
• Interfacing with Technical support for network problems
• Test report documentation (Test coverage, Quality versus Run),
THE JOB IS AVAILABLE IN TIMISOARA.
• Technical University diploma (Bachelor, MSC)in telecom
• Experience range 0 to 2 years.
• Strong Knowledge of Unix/Linux/Windows OS
• Basic Knowledge of UMTS, 2G, GPRS, EDGE, WIFI, WiMAX, Bluetooth, Infra-Red.
• Basic Knowledge of Digital Speech Processing (Modulation, Antenna Gain)
• Knowledge of Voice and video codec’s (H263, H264, G711, G729, T38)
• Autonomy and initiative, in association with a strong team spirit
• Capacity to work in international environment
• Availability for travelling abroad
• English advanced spoken & written
• French is a plus
