MAIN TASK:
Arranges and schedules transportation of materials from the suppliers and the products from the plant to distribution centers, warehouses and customers to optimize service and cost.
OTHER TASKS:
- Organizing the transportation according to the data received from the responsible departments;
- Sorting the deliveries according to destination and delivery conditions;
- Approving the amount that has been sent to the different carriers (for the road, maritime, air transportation and for the courier or express);
- Re-programming (urgently) the quantities to be delivered in case shortages appear, after having agreed upon, with the responsible departments and, if the case may be, modifying the load (cargo) for the maximum exploitation of the load capacity (good knowledge as long as the goods and the customer specifications are concerned);
- Supervising the timely ready-making of the vehicle, by the transporters, and keeping the shipping deadlines;
- Negotiating the transportation tariff;
- Observing the transports as long as the route and the duration are concerned, both for import and export;
- Optimizing the current transportation conditions, used by the customers for fluidizing the custom operations within Romania.
- Relevant experience in the logistic field (at least 2-3 years is mandatory);
- Experience in automotive field would be a plus;
- Proficient in German, English is an advantage;
- University degree;
- Very good PC skills, SAP is an advantage;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Planning abilities, detail-orientation and problem-solving skills.
