To test software for embedded automotive electronic modules following the department’s formal design procedures and to act as the Lead Software Test Engineer on our development projects.
-Analysing product requirements (customer, internal and industry specifications/regulations) and deciding suitable test strategies for assuring high quality product performance.
-Designing and implementing test scripts for automated test equipment for testing embedded automotive products and preparing documentation thereof.
-Preparing test scripts and programming methodologies for supporting the production facility (function checkers, EOL programming equipment)
-Main target is to assure a flawless product on the market
To act as a mentor for the less experienced software engineers in the department.
Participate in quotation activities where duties include:
-Deciding test strategy and tooling
-Estimating test lead-times.
-Prepare and present chosen test strategies to customers.
Evaluate and select software test tools (automation solutions).
To assist with the development and implementation of standardized software test methods and processes.
To investigate and keep up to date with new software test methods and techniques.
To participate in benchmark activities such as research, record and present customer profiles and trends.
Minimum:
5 years software testing of embedded applications (min. 2 years in automotive field).
Very good knowledge of embedded software testing tools and practices.
Basic understanding of electronics hardware design.
Presentation skills.
PC operation (Word, Excel, etc).
Preferabil:
Experience with:
-instrument clusters and/or body electronics testing
-Vision systems for instrument cluster test automation
-CanOE CAPL programming
-National Instruments LabView programming
Knowledge of Automotive SPICE and/or CMMI, ISO TS16949.
Good experience with automated test systems and methodology (Labview, Test Stand, etc…)
Good experience with automotive network test tools, like CANalyzer, CANoe.
Knowledge of diagnostics protocols.
