The Software Quality Assurance Engineer ensures the quality of Red Earth Software applications by developing, publishing and implementing quality assurance activities throughout the full life cycle of the software application.
Quality Assurance Duties:
- Define, develop and implement quality assurance practices and procedures.
- Work directly with the appropriate personnel to understand project concept, objectives, requirements and approach of software development projects.
- Advise Red Earth Software on quality assurance methods, processes and tools.
- Define, track and report on quality assurance metrics.
Testing Duties:
- Define scope and objectives of all levels of software testing.
- Develop standards and testing software systems.
- Responsible for the overall success of software testing.
- Create and execute test cases.
- Identify, analyze and record defects, inconsistencies in software applications.
- Verify that issues have been fixed
- Install, configure and maintain software and hardware used in the test lab.
- Provide development with test results.
- Coordinate with employees and customers who test, evaluated and validated new functions and applications, and identify issues.
- Record and report software testing metrics.
- Minimum three (3) years experience in manual and automated software testing, including experience in designing software applications in Microsoft. NET,.
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience with SQL, ASP.NET.
- Experience with scripting languages.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows environments.
- Familiar with QA tools and techniques, bug tracking systems, test design and execution.
- Experience with working in a variety of programming languages and environments.
- Working knowledge of some or all of the following quality assurance methods: unit, integration, regression, user interface automated testing.
- Experience with load and performance testing.
- Experience with test automation browser and server side.
- Passion for quality assurance and software testing.
- Knowledge of quality assurance practices and procedures.
- Experience with diagnosing, reporting, tracking and resolving software quality issues.
- Ability to be both detail oriented and to work at abstract levels.
- Ability to think out of the box.
- Comfortable working in a small team.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to plan and organize own workload.
- Ability to communicate in English and Romanian with other Red Earth Software employees and customers in person, by telephone and in writing.
