• Development of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance releases for the company software
• Involved in the triaging and analysis of customer issues
• Providing effective responses to customer issues and implementing the solutions required
• Development of customer requests
• Design and develop solutions compliant with the architecture design and Product Development best practices and coding standards
• Produce development estimates
• Configure, maintain and improve the development environment and tools
• When required, assist in customer facing activities
• Produce and maintain required technical documentation
• Continually update technical knowledge and skills
• Follow SOPs and other processes and procedures and recommend improvements
• Computer Science degree or related discipline
• Minimum 2 years (preferably) of programming experience with one of the mainstream Web Technologies (Java, C#, Perl, C++ etc.)
• Python knowledge would be a plus
• Extended experience working on a Linux/Unix platform, ideally Ubuntu
• Familiarity with Web 2.0 technologies (e.g. Javascript, AJAX, JSON, JQuery)
• Experience in working with databases
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to operate effectively in a global working environment
• Ability to listen and interpret technical actions in a non-technical manner
