Role and Responsibilities:
- define and conceptualize customer-driven features and services, analytical skills
- define and design product architecture based on customer requirements
- implement complete software design / development/ test process
- enforce best practice coding style, performance and quality assurance methods
- continues up to date on emerging technologies and trends in software development and architectures.
Mandatory:
- fine background of software development
- software languages: strong skills in C++
- object-oriented programming
- operating system API and frameworks – Qt, win32/64, MFC/ATL, COM/DCOM
- libraries: STL/ATL/WTL, boost
- scripting languages (at least one): javascript, pearl, python, lua
- xml/xslt processing knowledge
- database environments: SQL/ODBC use with major DB engines (MSSQL, Oracle, etc.)
- teamwork ready, effective communication skills, well organized and clear
- English – medium level (fluent in verbal and written communication)
but most of all:
- knows (or would like to learn) the difference between software design and software engineering
- try to continuously develop software knowledge and skills
- challenge any 'good practice' for the better
Optional/pluses:
- web technologies
- German - medium level (fluent in verbal and written communication)
Education: BS degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred.
