The TS&FE Center (Technical Support & Fulfillment Engineering Center) is the technical interface for telecom operators and their customers, it ensures that our customers' networks and services operate at optimal levels, while maintaining and improving standards and integrity of the network provided.
TS&FE Engineers use their expertise and knowledge of business processes, systems to ensure the delivery of the customer’s telecom services. The engineer provides integration/configuration management and regular maintenance tasks, as well as escalation management. This effort is directed at executing the work orders associated with our client networks and services.
The Radio Access Network Engineer is responsible for customers’ BSS/UTRAN Service Fulfillment and remote network management, including but not limited to: integration, configuration, re-homing & re-parenting, data build production & maintenance, preventive maintenance, 24/7 on call Service Assurance remote support and other specific level 2 activities.
He assists Field personnel in integrating/configuring the sites and is responsible for immediate troubleshooting during field support operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Configuration management of network elements.
* Management of operations planning.
* Management of assets ("Backlog") production.
* The rapid escalation and notification of incidents during operations.
* To ensure that telecom services are built into the contractual deadlines.
* To provide a rapid return to customers in relation to common questions.
* Preventive/corrective maintenance (regular tasks / incidents)
* Creating, updating and following all the tickets
* Degree/ Diploma related to telecommunications, electronics, computer science or equivalent relevant experience.
* English language is mandatory (medium or advanced level); German language is a plus.
* Relevant experience in network operations, maintenance and / or technical support activities.
* Good knowledge in several 2G equipments (BTS, BSC) provided by NORTEL, Huawei, or Ericsson and 3G equipments (WBTS / NodeB, RNC) provided by: Alcatel-Lucent, HUAWEI, NSN, or Ericsson.
* Spirit rigorous in the transactions, particularly in following technical instructions and "reporting".
* Willingness to work in "Business Hours" & "Non Business Hours" exceptionally.
* Control of quality of communication during a crisis situation (stay focused on the objective information & communicate in real time).
* Ability to work in teams, learn and support of people, know their own limits on technical skills.
* Critical thinking in order to suggest improvements for better conduct of the operation (time / quality).
* Understanding the general principles of networks and telecommunications principles.
* Ability to adapt quickly to a new operation.
