Responsibilities:
As a QA Specialist you will be part of the in-house Quality Assurance Team. You will take over responsibility of the translations proofing / coding projects assigned to you.
This includes managing and performing quality verification using the internal company tools for translation (SDL Trados/ SDLX).
In addition, you will take over coordination tasks to manage projects for internal as well as external languages in line with timing and budget requirements.
What you will do/ learn:
• Take over the Survey proofing (General survey logic, Mistranslation, Missing Translation, Grammatical errors, Punctuation, Alignment (SDLX), Spelling, Quality improvement) for translation quality assurance and in some cases, coding of survey projects in your language(s);
• Work closely with the programming department in order to make sure the links provided are tested and checked before being launched;
• Testing the survey’s links to make sure the information is logic, correct and the interface works properly;
• Be in contact with external resources, assign translation checks / coding tasks on time and in budget;
• Effectively communicate with Project and Sales Managers to ensure customer’s needs regarding proof-reading / coding are met and understood;
• Escalate project or outstanding issues to the Team Leader as soon as identified;
• Update all internal tools on a daily basis in order to keep track of the project status.
Your profile:
• University graduate, preferably with focus on translation;
• MANDATORY excellent verbal and written communication skills in ENGLISH and Italian (as the second language);
• TOEFL, CAE, CELI or translation authorization are a plus;
• Experience in translation or in an international corporate environment is a plus;
• Team and business-oriented, self-motivated;
• High level of professionalism and integrity.
