manage product supply chain requests and deliver requirements between R&D, Procurement and EMS
manage products through the Product Life Cycle as Product Engineer

understand and implement and follow corporate processes, tools and strategies wrt Product Engineering
Detailed Tasks NPI
define NPI project plans and execute it
manage DfX reviews and execute related actions
interact and superwise EMS on operational and technical base
build up and maintain product structures in PDM tools
resolve operational issues out of prototype runs in cross functional teams (R&D, quality, Supply Chain manager, Test Engineering,
Procurement, etc. )
create and maintain costed BOMs
analyze routing plans
stablize new product in manufacturing environment
setup and meet manufacturing quality targets
Detailed Tasks Volume Phase
manage product design changes
work to overcome product issues from engineering viewpoint
work to overcome Supply Chain issues from engineering viewpoint
gather and analyze technical and Supply Chain Performance data
work in cost improvement projects
work in quality improvement projects
work in Supply Chain Optimization projects
manage "Phase-In-Phase-Out" of product variants
contribute to exchange discontinued components
contribute to bring products "End-of-Life"
support "Product Transfers" in between of different locations or companies
Education:
electronical/manufacturing/communication engineer (or BA / MBA)
Language requirements:
fluent English (oral/written); e.g. TOEFL comparable
Professional Requirements:
basic knowledge of Telecommunication Technologies
detailed Industrial (Supply Chain) Engineering Know-How
advanced understanding of electronic manufacturing process and general understanding of electronic test processes
good understanding of very complex (multi-level) product structures
good understanding of Quality Management Systems (ISO9000)
basic knowledge about electronical and optical components
IT - Knowledge:
advanced knowledge to work with MS Office ( MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint )
basic knowlege of data base design and queries
basic knowledge about Product Data Management Tools
basic knowledge about Project Management Tools
basic knowledge of web technologies and team collaboration workspaces
Management skills:
detailed Supply Change Management Know-How
general Project Management skills
basic micro economical knowledge (profit-loss-mechanisms)
