Network Design consists is a pre-sales oriented Radio Access Network design activity; located in different hubs around the world, offering technical pre-sales support to our Sales organization for different technologies.
The ND Team Leader is fully responsible for the technical and administrative aspects of the team located in Romania.
- Managing and controlling all activities related to the team contribution in line with the overall Wireless Business Group strategy & profitability.
- Organizing meetings and workshops to promote Alcatel-Lucent wireless solutions to the customers
- Network Design and dimensioning of Radio Access Networks involving different technologies as GSM, UMTS and WiMAX.
- Organizing the assignment of projects among the team members according to technologies, complexity, customer knowledge and available resources.
- Assuring the consequent follow-up of the on-going projects so they are in line with the quality process of the department.
- Organizing trainings and certifications for the radio designers for their respective product and technologies in order to increase the efficiency and quality of offers.
- Managing the allocation of resources in other hubs, if the local team cannot perform received projects.
- Preparation of typical reporting towards ND headquarter and Alcatel-Lucent Romania
- Attending and representing the Romanian ND team in various meetings and position ND as the key technical interface for pre-sales activities.
- Management of the Romanian Network Design team.
THE JOB IS AVAILABLE IN TIMISOARA.
- University degree in a relevant field (i.e. Electronics, Telecommunication)
- Management experience (minimum 2 years)
- Good mobile network knowledge (GSM, UMTS, WiMAX)
- Relevant experience in radio network planning/optimization
- Good understanding of Telecom Operator's networks, business needs and technology evolution
- Telecommunication relevant experience, at least 5 years
- Good communication and presentation skills, with a “can do” attitude
- High Customer Focus, initiative and pro-activity are highly appreciated
- Strong team spirit and good interpersonal skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English is a must, French would be a plus
- Professional development (technical and managerial), access to new technologies, possibility to travel abroad on business trips
