- Mobile Solution Division of Alcatel is working on three different Product Lines here in Timisoara: Media Server, Messaging and Music & Video Products.
- Media Servers products are dedicated to the interface with the end-user in Intelligent Network environments; they can also be configured as Service Nodes when provided as stand alone servers.
- Thanks to the OSP-ME platform (Open Service Platform ¿ Media Extension) developed in cooperation between Rennes (France) and Timisoara, Media Servers products can include advanced feature as: Voice restitution, Voice recognition, Text-to-Speech, Video restitution, Video streaming capabilities.
- Messaging Products provides operators with an attractive, state of the art messaging services including a complete set of traditional unified messaging functions.
- These products have been designed for packet-based networks such as NGN and UMTS. Entirely based on an IP and e-mail architecture, they meet currents and future needs of 3G operators who want to deliver new revenue generating services.
- PacketVideo Network Solution¿s suite, is the world¿s leading multimedia delivery system for mobile video and audio services. This carrier-class system has been deployed in over 12 commercial launches, including the world¿s first commercial 3G service by NTT DoCoMo. In addition, T-Mobile in Germany and Orange World in Europe have launched commercial services utilizing pvMobilemedia System, further proving its readiness for the world¿s wireless networks.
The Alcatel Video Communication Suite has been introduced by Alcatel to induce 3G usage by widening the capability of 3G Video telephony to the world of the fixed network (PCs on the Internet, VideoPhone on ISDN Network).
As Member of the Engineering team:
- On Products : You take part in development projects, according to the product roadmaps, including Java or OOP, unitary and functional testing, SW installation, documentations, technical support level 3 and level 4.
- On customer projects : You take part in customization projects (CDE) according to the customer¿s requirements, on site mission
THE JOBS ARE AVAILABLE IN TIMISOARA.
- Technical University Degree, Computer Science or Informatics
- At least 2/3 years in software application development on
- Linux OS; Java toolkit based on J2EE, JBOSS (OOP environment)
- Skills in script programming (Python, Perl),
- C++ programming skills and experience
- Basic knowledge on telecom and IP networks
- Three tiers concept design (access layer, the service logic and the storage) and Tiers interaction with IP standards such as HTPP, XML, WML, SOAP, RTP, RTSP protocols are a plus.
- English - advanced level
