Projecting device design for development projects in agreement with the superior;
Clarifying and defining design requirements with the customer in the form of specified project descriptions, analyzing design expenditure;
Agreeing and following up targets with the project manager in terms of quality, costs and timing in agreement with the superior and taking existing processes and methods into consideration;
Ensuring that defined technical standards are being observed within the context of design; involving Preliminary Development and Production Technology in the agreement of product concepts and technological alternatives;
Preparation of a performance specification on the basis of the existing requirement specification;
Working out design drafts on the basis of CAD data provided by the customer with regard to device design, assemblies and parts, taking technical and economical aspects into account;
Drawing up design solutions taking functional, material-related, technical production and economical aspects into account; drawing up selected designs for detailing;
Selection of the materials and standards to be used; specification of tolerances and checking up on drawings;
Preparing the (design) FMEA for the complete device, taking customer requirements into account;
Arranging for tests (mechanical, mechatronic, photometric, thermal) on sample devices, integration of results in the design;
Arranging for designs to be checked in terms of industrial property rights;
Involvement in the specification of the tests to be carried out in cooperation with Quality Planning taking internal, customer-specified and legal requirements into account.
You should know:
Mechanical engineer (Polytechnic);
Systematic design;
Quality management;
Basic knowledge of project management;
Proficiency in using Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
CATIA V5;
You should be:

High potential for learning;
Self confident, very organised, able to meet deadlines and to take initiative;
