Work in a small team to design/develop and implement design solutions for a wide range of products.
¿ Work closely with local internal and external manufacturing facilities to ensure that designs are optimized for manufacture and assembly.
¿ Specification of materials and finishing processes.
¿ 3-D part detailing for plastic injection molding, sheet metal fabrication & casting.
¿ Generation of 2-D manufacturing documentation to BS 8888:2004, Technical Product Documentation (TPD). Knowledge of ASME Y14.5M-1982 (American National Standards Institute, Dimensioning and Tolerancing) would also be an advantage.
¿ Technical university degree in Mechanics;
¿ Experience: minimum 2 years as a designer;
¿ Very good technical skill and understand design and engineering principals and practices;
¿ Computer literacy and competence in Pro/ENGINEER (2001, Wildfire 2) and PRO/SHEET required, SolidWorks is a plus;
¿ Collaboration with members of interdisciplinary teams to implement and realize high quality and reliable designs;
¿ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
¿ Fluently English speaker and writer.
