- Provides leadership in the design, development and dissemination of world-class processes and leading edge business solutions;
- Establishes and maintains contact with line and staff members to monitor and report progress to meet objectives and key initiatives;
- Monitors performance and financial measures across VS and identifies issues that have the greatest impact to meet business objectives. As appropriate, reviews root cause analysis for non-conformance to standard business metrics and for CSI scores of 80% or less;
- Stays abreast of leading edge technology trends and capabilities;
- Assumes leadership role in forming and managing VS project teams;
- Travel as required;
- Develops methods, processes and procedures that will improve process and/reduce failures;
- Determines and initiates required follow-up and/or additional analyses;
- Impacts near-term (quarterly/semi-annual) operational success of the function;
- Demonstrates commitment to implement initiatives;
- Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and process to meet goals outlined;
- Provides direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance;
- Administers company policies that directly affect subordinate employees.
- University Degree in Engineering;
- Lean knowledge and qualification; minimum 2 years experience in related field;
- Must lead and direct projects and business initiatives;
- Has process management skills associated with coordinating initiatives of significance to the organization;
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions with all functional areas and BU levels of management;
- Ability to solve practical problems, to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form, to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules;
- Demonstrates commitment to implement initiatives;
- Able to teach and share with Value stream people Lean principles, providing continuous improvement philosophy across VS;
- To perform the major job responsibilities the use of the following tools may be required: Office Skills: typing, telephones, office software to include, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation package and database systems.
