Role: Responsible for monitoring the company¿s or Site¿s internal data systems, including server, security, batch jobs monitoring
Main responsibilities:
- Coordinates and follows change and problem management tickets/issues in his/her area of responsibility
- Create tickets for any of the alerts that are raised in the monitoring tool
- Responsible for notification and escalation to the resolution team
- Handles all routine problems or routes them to a more knowledgeable IT professional
- Recognizes and takes appropriate actions to pro-actively prevent technical problems to happen.
- Prepares and recommends technical alternatives involving technology, methodology, tools, processes, and solution components
- Makes recommendations to manage and automate tasks in a creative way
Qualification & Experience:
-University Degree in Engineering or relevant experience and training
- MCP certifications will be a plus
Knowledge, skills & abilities:
- Knowledge of Operating Systems Administration, LAN/WAN systems, networks and applications.
- Knowledge of operating system management: file management, services, system tools in
¿ Windows 2000, Windows NT - medium level;
¿ Solaris, Linux - introductory level
Knowledge of Database organization types, access and retrieval techniques (ODBC, SQL Server connections, SQL Queries)
- Knowledge of Data communication principles, practices and restrictions (IP, Local Area Network, Wide Area Network, Firewalls)
- Knowledge of Office automation software: MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, VisioProject
- Good English communication skills ¿ reading, writing and speaking
- Troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
