RESPONSABILITATI

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems provide drivers active safety support by identifying potentially hazardous situations in advance, and helping to avoid them.
We are developing innovative products based on the newest technologies in automotive electronic.
Lane Departure Warning is based on image processing technologies and uses camera sensors for monitoring the position of the car on the road. It protects drivers from unintentional lane changes.
Blind Spot Detection is a 24GHz radar based system which provides information on whether there are any vehicles in the side mirror areas non-visible for the driver.
Automatic Cruise Control system keeps the proper distance between the cars and automatically breaks the car in case of dangerous situations, using Laser technology.

As Hardware Development Engineer you'll have to:
Create FPGA requirements based on required functions and product architecture
Create the architecture for FPGA design
Develop and simulate the VHDL code
Optimize the VHDL design to meet the timing and logic functions constraints
Implement the area constraints and perform advanced FPGA implementation in order to meet the timing and logic area constraints inside FPGA
Test and Validate the FPGA design
Documenting the HW design for FPGA
Work within the project team for development the HW architecture, schematic and electronic samples for basic/generic platforms and customers projects.
Cooperating with an international development team and customers

A mentor will support you to stepwise take over own responsibility after an initial training phase which will familiarize you with our products, tools, processes and organization.

DESCRIEREA FIRMEI

The Continental AG is a leading international partner to the automotive industry. With currently about 150,000 employees worldwide, a turnover of 25 billion euro in 2006 and our unrivalled
expertise in the fields of tire and brake technology, chassis components and vehicle electronics, we are committed to becoming the world’s leading provider of safety and comfort for individual mobility. For you, that means ample scope to get your career up to speed – in an atmosphere defined by openness, flat hierarchies, international mobility and self-motivation.

Our Chassis & Safety Division drives innovations in the areas of active and passive driving safety, safety and chassis sensors, and chassis components. With a workforce of over 28,000 and a turnover of 5 billion euro (2006), we are already developing tomorrow’s electronic and hydraulic braking and stability control systems, sensors, driver assistance, airbag and passenger classification systems and electronic air suspension systems.

The specialists in our Interior Division work passionately to keep drivers and passengers informed of their vehicles’ status – and in touch with the world outside – at all times. They develop and produce a wide range of intelligent, user-friendly products for private and commercial vehicles (factory and after sales markets), including instruments and displays, cockpit modules, audio and navigation devices, multimedia and telematics solutions, and control, steering and access protection systems.

The Powertrain Division integrates innovative, efficient drive systems in vehicles. Our goal is to continuously increase performance and drive comfort, while simultaneously reducing fuel consumption and emissions. We do this by advancing the development of ultra-modern petrol and diesel fuel injection systems, engine management and transmission control systems and hybrid drive components and systems a little more each day. With a workforce of 27,000 and a turnover of over 5 billion euro (2006), our trailblazing ideas have already set new standards – and are all set to drive the future too.
