- To maintain books and records of assigned European entities in accordance with local GAAP and in accordance with US GAAP
To prepare all statutory filings, together with local European auditors or accountants
- Review of statutory financial statements, preparing the monthly accounting close, including journals and account reconciliations, preparation of VAT returns
- Monthly review of financial accounts (balance sheet and P&L) and resolution of any outstanding issues with all departments involved (eg Payroll, HDQ, Tax, Analysts) on a timely basis
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work on own initiative, to evaluate information and follow up on queries
- Ability to work under pressure and to respect strict deadlines
- Previous experience of minimum 2 years in a financial department, as a financial controller or on audit
- Previous experience in management is an advantage
- English at advanced level is a must
- Other language (French, German, Italian) at a medium- advanced level is also mandatory
- Knowledge of US GAAP accounting and reporting requirements, prevoius experience in project management is a strong advantage
- Student or qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is an advantage
- Willing to travel for the initial trainig in UK and India, for 3 months
