- Defines, creates, develops and verifies product designs, conferring with other engineering personnel and resolving problems as required;
- Prepare/Agree with the other members of the team and customer a project schedule and guarantee the project realization within the agreed schedule;
- Follows development processes and manages project and product data as required for long-range customer and product support;
- Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to formulate and test electronic, optical and/or mechanical designs;
- Sample build, design verification, agency/regulatory compliance;
- Performs feasibility, cost and reliability analyses of product proposals to influence decisions related to design tradeoffs and specifications;
- Qualifies potential suppliers, part nomenclatures and commodity vendors/component/supplier approval and cost reduction;
- Assists in the creating and maintaining of engineering database systems.
- Technical university degree in Electronics/Computer/Automation or equivalent;
- Experience: 2-4 years as electrical designer;
- Very good technical skill and understand design and engineering principals and practices (appreciation of EMC is a plus);
- System architecture and design of telecommunication system (optical communications knowledge is a plus);
- Printed Circuit Boards assembly processes knowledge;
- Experience in PCB design – specific ECAD tool experience: Mentor Graphics, Cadence;
- Strong in failure analyses and problem solving;
- Compliance test approval experience (safety, EMC, ESD);
- Test/Measurement Equipment knowledge;
- Radio Frequency, Analog, Digital and Mixed Signal Knowledge;
- Experience in electronic design /optimization;
- Collaboration with members of interdisciplinary teams to implement and realize high quality and reliable designs;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Fluently English speaker and writer.
