The successful candidate will be responsible for switchgear design. Responsibilities include preparing drawings that include: side views, 3-line schematics, DC schematics, wiring diagrams and electronic bills of material using AutoCAD. Additionally, the successful candidate will also be responsible for reviewing customer single-line drawings and specifications, estimating material and cost, technical clarification with the plant, consultant and client, and attending drawing review meetings with the consultant and clients. Other responsibilities include contacting suppliers to obtain quotations, preparing purchase requisitions, preparing tenders and cost estimates for new offers, scheduling and preparing drawings for approval and for construction, and monitoring delivery deadlines.
Project locations will be in the United Emirates.
Roles
- Project engineering and implementation for defined functional areas including: design manual / standards, system
clarification, functional design, HW & SW design
- Functional acceptance test of defined plant areas
- Installation and commissioning
- System tuning
- Technical support for sales
- Circuit diagram designing
- Document preparation
The ideal candidate must have Power Transmission and distribution know-how, or a minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field. If possible, partial or complete experience in the following areas would be beneficial: switchgear design and knowledge of HV, MV and LV components including current transformers, arresters, protection relays, meters, as well as circuit diagram design know-how. Knowledge of ISO requirements and working experience with AutoCAD is also required within the scope of activities.
