1)Regarding the Process, the Production Manager is responsible to improve the process (from limestone line, kilns & mills) by:
-Finding solutions to technical problems needing a creative thinking (Problem solving)
-Transfering specific know-how to the operations
-By developping tools and implementing them
-By controlling the performances (through a good technical recording)
-By comparing the performance on an economical and technical point of view
-By proposing new investments (after complete technical and economical analysis)
2)Regarding the Production, the Production Manager is responsible:
-To define the production level of each installation according to the sales program and the stock
-To organise the work of his department
-To meet all the safety requirements for his department
-To interface with the maintenance department in order to maintain all instalations in correct status with a minimum of stop time
-To organise the big repairs
-To guaranty the delivery of raw material and combustible (in quality and quantity)
-To follow day by day all the objectives: productivity, quantity, quality, consumption, costs
- Engineering degree (mechanical, metallurgical, electro-mechanical, chemical)
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in production
- Understanding of industrial environment : experience in an heavy industrial environment (Lime, Cement, Glass, Ceramic, Refractory, Metallurgy)
