- ensuring that all welding operations are executed in accordance with all relevant Codes of Practices and Company procedures/practices
- maintaining a daily Site Diary
- handling all welding technical queries and investigating all field welding related problems
- ensuring fully detailed documentation of all welding activities are raised and completed prior to handover
- maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel working on the job site
- ensuring that all Welding, Heat Treatment, any hardness testing, Inspection and Non-destructive testing are in compliance with the relevant codes and specifications
- liaising with the Client Inspection Department on all aspects of Welding, Heat Treatment, Hardness Testing and Non-Destructive Testing or other Hold points
Required Qualifications & Experience:
-Welding Engineer Degree
- previous experience in a similar position
Required Competencies/ Skills:
- good knowledge of English language
- good knowledge of mechanical discipline
- ability to read product and mechanical prints along with a strong understanding of geometric tolerances
- proficient in MS Office software, CAD skills preferred
