Black Diamond Resort Co provides courtesy transportation between Denali Park and all properties in the park area including transportation to the railroad depot and other locations. Courtesy transportation is the first and last level of interaction between the customer and the company and is therefore extremely important. Essential Functions: -Provide safe and
comfortable bus/van transportation within a congested tourist environment. Includes transportation along a major state highway as well as slow speed pedestrian congested traffic environments. -Greet guests as they arrive and depart in a timely manner -Accommodate guests to ensure they receive prompt, courteous service -Effectively and positively communicate with guests, employees, and vendors at all times -Diplomatic and prompt handling of guest complaints -Take charge when upper management is unavailable -Ability to work under erratic deadlines and with changing priorities -Ability to work a varied schedule -Expedite van/bus schedules and make sure all guests are accounted for -Report to work in proper clothing, clean, and ready for work -Maintain positive attitude in high stress situations -Go the extra mile/Follow through to ensure guest satisfaction -Provides Narrated tours - Provides disembarking assistance and handles luggage -Assist in performing basic motorcoach maintenance and mechanical duties -Clean inside and outside of vans/buses including windows -Collect all vouchers as guests get on the van/bus -Other duties as required and as they arise Qualifications: -Ability to remain positive in stressful situation -Ability to lift and carry 35 lbs required -Professional and clean appearance required -Must speak excellent English -Excellent Customer Service Skills required -Willingness to learn as much as you can about Black Diamond and Denali Park -Must be Safe and Clean with a Sanitation Focus at all Times;-If applying for CDL
position must have passenger CDL for State of Alaska (may be obtained through Company Training Course);
Salary: 8.00/hour, with CDL (Commercial Drivers License for Alaska) $11.00/per hour
Overtime: 10.72-15.00$/hour

Are Meals Provided?: yes, Breakfast, lunch, and dinner available for 30% off our menu which is about $3 for breafast, $7 for lunch or dinner. In addition to buying meals in the restaurant all housing has full kitchens
so meals can be made in your home for a lot less money. There is a grocery store walking distance to the housing.
Housing: Mobile Homes We have excellent housing in newly remodeled mobile homes. Employees can have their own room or share a room. We have enough housing for each employee to have here own room.350$/month (utilities included).
Dress Code: Casual,Inside jobs we ask for nice pants and shirts, outside jobs can wear nice jeans.

an international place and it is a great opportunity to live and work with people from all over the United States and the world! Our staff becomes a family by the end of the season and with things like Facebook and e-mail it is great to keep in touch with people that you meet. We have a lot of j1 students who work for us for two, three, and even four seasons. The most we had was a girl who worked for us for 6 years.

- Our students start work immediately when they arrive and work the same amount of hours every week, at leat 40 hours, unless they ask for specific time off for instance to go on a vacation or are sick. Most students who work for us also have the opportunity to ge a second job if desired.

- Alaska is a long way to come and can be very expensive to get to so it is important that you choose this job not only to make some money but also for the great adventure! You are coming to remote Alaska and it is very much a wild wilderness experience!
