Job description
The duties and responsibilities of the Welding & Materials / Painting & Insulation Engineer shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Preparation of painting and insulation specifications for all types of mechanical and piping equipment
- Providing support for the preparation of painting and insulation subcontracts, and review bids
- Preparation of specifications for welding and non-destructive examination of metallic piping and mechanical equipment
- Technical support to engineering disciplines and construction with regards to material selection, welding, non-destructive examination, corrosion.
- Review and approval of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Welding Procedure Qualifications (WPQ)
- Liaise with client, third parties and project team (both home office and construction)
