Job Title: Site Superintendent (Civl & Finishing Works)

Location: Libya (Tripoli / Misurata)

Contract Period: Mnimum 4 years

Monthly Wage: Negotiable (depending on experience)


Job Description:
Minimum 15 years experience as supervisor for structural and finishing works in building (residential, commercial, public) construction Sites, of which at least 5 years as

construction manager or similar position (structural works to be supervised: concrete works, such as cast-in-situ reinforced concrete, concrete block walls, installation of

prefabricated concrete elements and claddings of various types, embedment of pipes, ducts, metal items in cast-in-situ concrete, etc. / finishing works to be supervised:

plastering of concrete block walls, installation of gypsum partition walls or similar, installation of curtain claddings, installation of floor claddings such as ceramic

tiles, concrete tiles, timber, PVC and resin, painting works, insulation and waterproofing works, false ceilings, installation of doors and windows, etc.).
Capable to understand, read and speak English sufficiently to deal with personnel of various nationalities and technical documentation (drawings and specifications).
Capable to read and fully understand structural and architectural construction drawings.
Knowledge of equipment, tools and machinery used for structural and finishing works in building construction Sites.
Knowledge of main construction materials used for structural and finishing works in building construction Sites.
Knowledge of construction methods and techniques used for structural and finishing works in building construction Sites.
Capable to supervise, coordinate, lead and assist supervising teams of Civil Works Assistants for structural and finishing works.
Capable to coordinate civil works (executed directly) and electromechanical works (executed by subcontractors).
Capable to set up and organize construction areas.
Capable to organize construction activities.
Capable to interact with Construction Manager, Technical Services Departments, Supervisors of the Main Client, subcontractors.
Knowledge and enforcement of work safety rules.
Knowledge and enforcement of work quality rules.
Capable to forecast the needs for construction materials and tools.
