RESPONSABILITATI

The laboratory researcher who will have a relevant expertise in Wet Chemistry in relevant technique, involving quantitative chemical analysis, solvent extractions, integrated with essential laboratory equipments will contribute to the Borouge innovation process by participating in the definition of the scientific content of the projects and to their IPR protection. He will operate equipments typically used in the subject field, draw conclusions from the investigations and publish and communicate scientific reports relative to projects leading to new product / method specifications and knowledge development. The researcher will become Borouge’s expert in this field and will as such write scientific articles and presentations to be communicated in technical journals and conferences. Besides his skills, the researcher will have a profound theoretical and practical knowledge of wet chemistry applications in polyolefin’s. Any additional competencies, such as elemental/chemical/chromatography analyses and equipment caliberation, such as GC, GC/HPLC-MS, AAS, ICP, KF Coulometry etc, computer literacy, knowledge of LIMS, SAP, SQC and/or other analytical tests would be regarded as a clear advantage.


CERINTE

Specify minimum acceptable qualifications, experiences and skills:
1. Minimum Educational qualifications: MS or preferably PhD in Chemistry, Polymer Science or related discipline
2. Minimum years of relevant experience: 5 years in Wet Chemistry in the field of polyolefin’s as detailed above.
3. Technology know-how (systems, machinery, equipment, etc.): Polypropylene and polyethylene plastics. Operational and theoretical knowledge of chemical analysis with elemental/chemical/chromatography technique in polyolefins’
4. Supervisory skills: Not applicable
5. Other ‘must-have’ skills / competencies: Analytical and conceptual thinking, innovation, relationship building, advanced expertise in wet chemistry, team work & cooperation, customer orientation, flexibility, initiative, HSE awareness, computer literate, LIMS/SAP and SQC.

ANY OTHER INFORMATION
The candidate will be located in Abu Dhabi. He may be asked to spend limited time in the Ruwais interim laboratory to assist in his field of expertise, if needed. The researcher in Thermal Analysis may be asked to spend a few months (duration not yet defined) in Linz to fine tune his knowledge about Borouge/Borealis products.
